American Job Centers (AJC) East provides the public with information about a range of employment services, the dynamics of the labor market, available training & education opportunities, and the links to other public and private services. The American Job Centers East, located in Montville, Willimantic and Danielson, serve to unify a variety of training, education, and employment programs into a single, customer-friendly, collaborative “one-stop” system where our partners collaborate to provide seamless services to job seekers and employers. This rich collaboration maximizes limited local resources, while still providing a rich array of services. Services are free of charge for both job seekers and employers.
As employers face shortages of qualified workers, the AJC East has become an extension of employers’ internal human resource services. American Job Center East can play instrumental roles in employee recruitment, coordinating regional job development, providing support for economic development and retention, and promoting lifelong learning. The Business Services Team (BST) is available to assist with employers hiring and training needs at no cost to the employer. Additionally, Business Services can help connect employers to training needed to keep their businesses functioning efficiently, as well as a variety of state and local funding opportunities, all designed to foster regional jobs and economic growth.
